John Landis and Justin Lemaire to Discuss How to Maximize Arbitration Through Advance Planning and Effective Presentation

John Landis and Justin Lemaire will present, "Maximizing Arbitration: Advance Planning, Key Issues and Effective Presentation" on October 26 to the Association of Corporate Counsel, Louisiana Chapter.  Arbitration clauses have become a common feature of commercial contracts, and even non-commercial contracts.  Many businesses have found, however, that their arbitration experiences fall short of what they had hoped for.  John and Justin will discuss the importance of advance planning and will review some key issues to consider when crafting an arbitration clause or engaging in post-dispute negotiations regarding the procedure to be used for arbitration.  They will also address effective advocacy in arbitration and best practices for making a compelling presentation to arbitrators.
