Stone Pigman Served as Counsel to the New Orleans Building Corporation in Historic Transaction
The following is a statement regarding the New Orleans City Council's approval of the Amended and Restated Lease for the Harrah's Casino property which enhances revenue to the city from the casino and requires the construction of a $325 million casino hotel and other amenities.
“Stone Pigman is proud to have served as counsel to the New Orleans Building Corporation in this historic transaction,” said Stone Pigman Member Scott Whittaker. “The restated lease is an important example of the ways public and private entities can work together for the betterment of our city. From our work on the redevelopment of the Saenger Theatre and the former World Trade Center building to this Harrah’s casino lease renewal, we’re thrilled to be a part of these public private partnerships that have helped to improve our one-of-a-kind city.”
