Elizabeth Tamporello Joins Stone Pigman as Special Counsel
Stone Pigman is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Tamporello has joined the firm as Special Counsel.
Tamporello comes to Stone Pigman following several years specializing in litigation and insurance defense at another New Orleans firm, where she was recognized in 2021 by Louisiana Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Civil Litigation: Defense.
Tamporello graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University Law School, where she was active in Moot Court and the Civil Law Clinic and earned the Tulane Law Honor Scholarship and Moot Court Outstanding Board Member Award. As a law student, she interned for U.S. District Court Judge Jay Zainey in Louisiana’s Eastern District and clerked at two New Orleans firms.
A trained opera singer, Tamporello had a career in music before embarking on her law practice. She has sung for the Houston Grand Opera Chorus, Opera in the Ozarks, and has even commanded large crowds at Boston’s Fenway Park. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Boston University and a master’s degree in music from the University of Houston.
“Elizabeth brings impressive talents and client focus to our firm,” said Michael Walshe, Chair of Stone Pigman’s Management Committee. “We are glad to have her join our experienced team.”
“What has always impressed me about Stone Pigman is the care and passion that the attorneys show for doing excellent legal work that gets the best result for their clients. I am truly proud to now call these lawyers colleagues,” Tamporello said.
In her free time, Tamporello is the mother of a new baby and advocates for people with special needs.
