Brittany Carnes and Sanders Colbert Join Stone Pigman as New Associates

Brittany Carnes will initially focus on business and litigation aspects of the firm. She is a recent graduate of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she served as the managing editor of the Loyola Law Review and received a Certificate in Health Law. During her time in law school, Carnes served as a student extern for the City of New Orleans’ City Attorney’s Office and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Joseph C. Wilkinson, Jr., of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. As a summer associate at Stone Pigman in 2019, Carnes has direct experience assisting with legal research, business contracts and arbitration awards.
Sanders Colbert will be part of the Stone Pigman Tax Practice Group assisting businesses with state and local tax issues, including tax exemption applications, audit disputes and reporting requirements. After graduating from Tulane University Law School, Colbert attended New York University School of Law and received his LL.M. in Taxation. During law school, Colbert worked as a summer associate at various local law firms assisting with legal research, tax issues and class action suits. Before attending law school, Colbert worked as a process engineer where he designed and audited natural gas flare relief systems for Gulf of Mexico offshore platforms and Alaskan onshore fields.
